American Streets
This is an MP3. The store version will be a much higher quality 24 Bit WAV file
I overheard a blind man claim he sees a future rich with kindness,
As a little girl twirled around his dog then gave out hugs to the anxious.
Inside rests the most beautiful feats.
Far and wide we share our healing heartbeats.
Bring us closer ‘til union repeats,
And we stroll safe and sound down American streets.
A pious man dozes under trees as a bright light descends from the stars.
Then, a figure in white from the Pleiades gives him lifechanging memoirs.
Peer into the eyes, each of us a drop of God.
Infinitely one and immune to fraud. That’s right.
A solitary man with shoeless feet offers his song to everyone.
He sits silent in a chair to prepare for the return of our yellow Sun.
Where should we be heading now?
Because, we sure got lost somehow.
And, every person each one of us meets
May hold the cure for these American streets.
