In another time, in some other place

In a friendly smile, in a caring face

From a daily prayer to an ineffable grace

From a recluse beat to a warm embrace

I found you;

On a hairpin turn passed an Arctic lake,

Across a starlit sky, passion speeds awake.

Sometimes you wonder how you’ll ever meet someone.

So busied making certain the mundane gets done.

Beneath a risk, a light escapes. 

Around a hurt, love parts the drapes.

Behind sparkling eyes and flesh landscapes,
